The young child benefits from a gentle, creative, and engaging environment that serves as a transitional bridge between home and formal schooling. The Sedona Children’s Garden is such an atmosphere; a haven for little ones nestled near the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. This lovely sanctuary, inspired by Waldorf education, is an ‘integrated’ preschool kindergarten program that has been joyfully serving families in the community for over 25 years.
The curriculum of the Sedona Children’s Garden is founded on a comprehensive medley of Rudolf Steiner’s pedagogical indications, historical and current contemplative philosophies, as well as cutting edge developmental psychology. These stand as vital substructures for Sedona Children’s Garden and its thriving circle of families; guiding lights for honoring and serving each individual child, and for a distinctive, creative and progressive curriculum.
When parents enroll their children in the Sedona Children’s Garden they join a vibrant community; a hearth where the art of living and learning is nourished, inquiry is supported, curiosity is invited, and where creativity and passion for life soar.
